Ro Dooley Webster is Boston Market Director of Communications, CBS Local Media and oversees public relations and public affairs for all CBS Local Media properties in Boston: WBZ-TV, myTV38 (WSBK-TV), WBZ NewsRadio 1030, 98.5 The Sports Hub, 100.7 WZLX, Mix 104.1, WODS 103.3 AMP Radio and the stations’ online assets, including CBSBoston.com.
An Emmy Award winning producer for “Special Event Coverage” by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Boston/New England, Dooley Webster manages many of the television stations’ top-rated, local event programming like: The Boston Pops 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, the First Night special, BLINK Holiday Tree Lighting show, and political debates. She is also executive producer of WBZ-TV News’ “4 Your Community” public affairs segment. Over her career, Dooley Webster has created hundreds of public affairs campaigns raising millions of dollars for charities including Children’s Hospital Boston, Project Bread, Big Sisters Association, The American Cancer Society, and more.
Before being named CBS Boston’s Market Director of Communications, Dooley Webster served for six years as Director of Communications and Public Affairs for CBS stations WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV as well as WLWC-TV in Providence, RI when it was owned and operated by CBS. Before joining CBS in 2004, she served as director of public relations for the Sunbeam-owned Boston NBC affiliate WHDH-TV, where she managed all communications and many aspects of the station’s community relations functions. She has also worked as the public relations director for the then Tribune-owned Boston WB affiliate WLVI-TV. Before that, Dooley Webster was director of press and public relations at New England Cable News (NECN). She was critical to the regional network’s successful launch and instrumental in the launch of “The FOX 25 News at 10” which was then produced by NECN. She began her career as a reporter/producer for news and specials at independent WCVX-TV.
