Lisa Nickerson, who recently won the 2016 PRISM Award for Marketing Professional of the Year, is the true definition of an entrepreneurial businesswoman. With an early start to her career and over 25 years of experience, she has ascended to the top of the Real Estate industry, become a well-respected and sought-after speaker, and devotee of professional and community service. She is currently the founder and principal of two award-winning companies, Nickerson and Nickerson Real Estate Partners.
Lisa is highly involved in industry organizations, serving on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Steering Committee and ULI Programs Committee, while Chairing WLI’s Programs & Sponsorship Committee. Additionally, she serves as Director of Strategic Partnerships for Boston Women in Media & Entertainment, VP of the Sponsorship Committee as a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and serves on the Boston College Employer Advisory Council. She is also a member of NAIOP Massachusetts, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), The Joshua Frase Foundation (since 1998), the KeepSmilin’4 Abbie Foundation (since 2015) and is the long-standing Development Chair of Housing Families, Inc. as a member of their Board of Directors (since 2006). While doing all of this, she has also become an inspirational speaker at many industry events- empowering her peers, colleagues and staff through her words.
Lisa has completed four Boston Marathons, led teams in many Rodman Rides and is training for her first Ironman – all in an effort to raise funds for designated charities. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College in Marketing and Finance. She received her Real Estate Certificate from Boston University, maintains her Massachusetts Real Estate License and is currently completing her Master of Business Administration at Babson College. Lisa is a proud mother of three outstanding teenagers, two of which are highly decorated Eagle Scouts.
